February’s Monthly Reading Lab is now available for replay. Join the membership to be a part of next month’s Reading Lab and to catch up on all of the replays from the past ones we’ve done over the past two years.
KO-FI POST OF FEBRUARY READING LAB REPLAY
What to do when the cards don’t make sense? Lean into your intuition! We discuss all the ways that intuition will help you before, during, and after a reading. We practiced with three querent’s questions to just sit with the messages that came up. We learned there is a lot of information that can be gleaned with just a few cards and without having to pull clarifiers. We also discussed the lows that can come with reading on the hotlines.

February’s Poised to Leap Theme is Feedback
Another form of feedback is what we receive from our loved ones who have crossed over. Our ancestors are always with us, even if we can’t see them. They are a part of our DNA, our history, and our culture. And they have a lot to tell us if we’re willing to listen.
Much of our Working with our Ancestors series is about the feedback that we receive from our ancestors. You also have the ability to share feedback with your ancestors as well as be an intermediary between your living loved ones and those who have crossed over. It is a two-way street, even though much of what we are taught about working with ancestors is about what they can say and do for us versus through and with us.
There are many ways to listen for your ancestors’ messages. Some people hear them in their dreams, while others see them in visions or feel their presence around them.
I am clairaudient and my ancestors talk to me – full-on conversations. I suspect this was also the case for my maternal grandmother Ella Mae, as she would talk back to them aloud. I also use Bibliomancy and Cartomancy to communicate with them.
No matter how you receive their messages, it’s important to be open and receptive to them.
Here are a few tips for listening to your ancestors’ messages:
▪️ Quiet your mind. The first step to listening to your ancestors is to quiet your mind and create a space for them to speak. This can be done through meditation, prayer, or simply spending time in silence. Be consistent with a daily routine of quieting the mind, as it will make it easier for your ancestors to connect with you and for you to hear them.
▪️ Be open and receptive. When you’re listening for your ancestors’ messages, it’s important to be open and receptive to whatever they have to say. Don’t judge or dismiss their messages, even if they’re not what you expect. Let’s face it – our ancestors were once living, breathing, fallible people with hangups. Give them grace, just as they will give to you.
▪️ Trust your intuition. One of the huge benefits of working with your ancestors is the deepening of your intuitive powers that come with this work. Your intuition is a powerful tool that can help you connect with your ancestors and receive their messages. If you have a gut feeling about something, pay attention to it. It might be a message from your ancestors.
▪️ Keep a journal. I cannot emphasize this tip enough – memorialize your intuitive hits, musings, and communications with your ancestors. Make note of how they reached out to you. This is also information you can pass down to your descendants. Writing down your ancestors’ messages can help you to remember them and reflect on them later. It can also be a way to track your progress and see how your connection with your ancestors is evolving.
Listening to your ancestors’ messages can be a rewarding and enriching experience. It can help you to connect with your past, learn from your ancestors’ experiences, and make better decisions for your future. So open your heart and mind, and let your ancestors speak to you.
Do you need inspiration on wanting to feel closer to your ancestors? Here are some additional tips for listening to your ancestors’ messages:
▪️ Spend time in places where your ancestors lived. This can help you to connect with their energy and hear their messages more clearly. If the distance is too great, the internet offers a golden opportunity to virtually drop into many locations with the use of Google Maps.
▪️ Look at old photos and heirlooms. These objects can hold powerful memories and messages from your ancestors. Ask relatives to share photos with you.
▪️ Talk to your relatives about your ancestors. They may have stories or memories that can help you to learn more about them. This is a powerful way to keep your living loved ones engaged in celebrating and learning about those who have crossed over.
▪️ Read books and articles about your ancestors’ culture and history. This can help you to understand their perspectives and the challenges they faced during their lifetime.
By following these tips, you can open yourself up to the possibility of receiving messages from your ancestors. Trust your intuition, and be open to whatever they have to say. You may be surprised at the wisdom and guidance they can offer you.
Discussion/Exercise 6 will be published at the end of this week and we will be exploring the connection between ancestral and past-life work. Next month’s Poised to Leap keyword/theme will be Sovereignty.
