I preordered the Mystic Palette Tarot Muted Tone Edition on Amazon late last year, as it was on my deck wishlist. I share my first impressions through this full flip-through of the Mystic Palette Tarot in this video.
After I recorded this video, I looked at the Mystic Palette Tarot (the full-color edition) on Amazon and noted it has a Tarot guidebook and it seems to be in the fancy box that Llewellyn is known for. It seems the Muted Tone Edition comes without the guidebook and fancy box.
I spent some time shuffling this deck and may have to adjust how I select my cards in readings should I decide to work with the Mystic Palette Tarot. If one change could be made in subsequent printings of this deck, it would be to make it smaller. Otherwise, this is a gorgeous deck that I will be willing to overlook its size.

In today’s Mystery Mystic Monday, we are exploring the seemingly curious and mysterious deaths of the three KC Chiefs Fans. I say seemingly because many folks have already made up their minds as to what happened. I’ll catch you up on what I mean by that during reading.
Why do the police say no foul play?
Three Friends: Ricky Johnson, 38; Clayton McGeeney, 36; and David Harrington, 37 were last seen alive on Sunday, January 7, 2024, celebrating their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs winning against the Las Vegas Raiders. They likely died in the wee hours of Monday morning, on January 8th and a death investigation is underway, pending toxicology and the full autopsy report.
The home renter, is under a cloud of suspicion, but his family and law enforcement indicate he did not cause the three men’s deaths. Another friend left the house around midnight and said the four men were up watching Jeopardy. After two days of the men’s loved ones trying to reach out to them, the police were called to do a welfare check. It was discovered that one of the men was deceased on the back porch, while the other two men were found in the backyard. The renter had been in the house for two days and claims to not have known his friends had died or were in the backyard. It was Clayton’s fiancée who called the police after breaking into the lower level of the home through a window and was the one who discovered a body on the back porch. The temperature low for that night was 33 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius).

Were they poisoned? If not, did they willingly consume something?
Why is Jordan and/or his attorney giving conflicting statements?

What did the cops see to make them believe there was no suspected foul play?

We all thought Scott Peterson was convicted and serving his life sentence for taking the lives of his wife, Laci, and his unborn child, Connor. This past week, we learned the Los Angeles Innocence Project has taken up the charge to parse through evidence to see if it will exonerate Scott. Their representation has caused a stir and I figured let’s see what the cards have to say about all of this.
Laci Peterson was 7 and a half months pregnant when she was last seen on December 23, 2002. She was due to give birth on February 10, 2003. Scott reported he left around 9:30 AM on December 23rd to go fishing in the Berkeley Marina. Relatives later reported he stated he had gone golfing. Scott and stepfather reported her missing on December 24th. Scott was immediately suspected in her disappearance and later in her death. It was discovered that he had three affairs, with the last one being with his massage therapist Amber Frey.
Scott was simply not a likable man, and a lot of circumstantial evidence convicted him. He was reportedly fishing for sturgeon in the Berkeley Marina on December 23, 2002 and in April 2003, Laci and Connor were found near those same waters.
The reason the Los Angeles Innocence Project has picked up this case is because it is purported that Scott’s civil rights were violated during the trial, with exculpatory evidence being omitted for the jury to deliberate during his trial.
It was reported that a few days before her disappearance, Laci witnessed a home burglary and Scott’s defense team is arguing that she was kidnapped and killed to prevent her from reporting what she saw to authorities. There is DNA testing from the burglary scene they want to test against DNA evidence collected surrounding Laci’s death.
There’s no weapon or cause of death in this case. Nor, is there direct evidence linking him to her disappearance or death. Yet, many feel the circumstantial evidence was enough to convict and sentence him to death. The death penalty was overturned in 2021 and now he is serving a life sentence out of Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP), in Ione, California. This prison is the “Sensitive Needs Yards,” which was formerly called Protective Custody and it is the only one in the state of California that is designated solely for SNY inmates. Scott’s high profile status would garner the need for him to be in the SNY.
We will explore the energies surrounding Laci’s death. What were the circumstances leading up to her death? We will look to the cards to provide clues on how she died and who caused her death. We will also look for clues to see if her husband was involved and whether or not he will get off with the help of the Los Angeles Innocence Project.

As a part of my Christmas present to myself, I purchased this deck and the Low Country Gulluh Tarot at Star Priestess Tarot’s Etsy shop.
The African American Modern Black Tarot deck is a 78-card, contemporary, down-to-earth, and soulful deck that can be used in all sorts of readings with clients from all over the world. I enjoy the modern depictions of Black people and I am happy I added this deck to my collection.
The Low Country Gulluh Tarot Deck, created by Street Priestess Tarot, is 78 cards and it promises to take you on an immersive journey to low country South Carolina. I treated myself to this deck in late 2023 and it does not disappoint.
I am doing a 2024 Depth Year, which entails abstaining from purchasing new decks. I am glad I made this 2023 purchase happen because this is the sort of deck that will satiate my appetite for purchasing new decks this year.
I share a yearly tradition where I come up with a word of the month, which is the driving force for inspiration in my personal and professional life. I use Oracle decks to generate my monthly words and you can feel free to use any deck of your choosing. This is a fun and powerful way to be intentional month over month in business, in creativity, or your personal life.
