Check out Theresa Reed’s podcast Tarot Bytes, where I’m a guest on her show and we discuss “jumpers” – a fun technique I use to select cards for a reading. We had a great time – tune in!!
Here’s an unboxing of the Good Karma Tarot, created by Kerry Ward, artwork by Amy Blackwell, published by Oh! This is a mass market produced deck and at time of recording, available in Barnes and Nobles.
This is a deck that called to me and I figured out why. It has a quiet, unobtrusive, yet sweet voice to share in its messages. To prepare for its arrival, I asked my favorite deck if The Good Karma Tarot would be a good fit for my collection and I got a resounding “yes” from my trusty Tarot cards that I pose such questions. This deck is diverse, bright, modern, and has rich symbolism that speaks to new and seasoned readers.
The guidebook shines, as it offers talismans for us to explore, spreads galore, and tips on how to read the Tarot in a storytelling format. This deck and guidebook is certainly one to check out, as it offers something for all of us. And yes, the card stock is glossy, but I have shuffled it a handful of times and I believe it will weather many readings.
Check out the unboxing for a full flip through of this gorgeous deck.
On Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 8:00 PM EST, I will be premiering a video to catch up with those who are participating in the Tarot Study Group. Join me for a live chat!
Journal Prompt: What rite of passage are you preparing to enter next? What are ways to prepare for this new beginning?
Hello! The above bolded question is our sixth weekly journal and Tarot spread prompt. I will post our journal/tarot prompt every Monday during the duration of our Tarot study. I may or may not create a Tarot spread from the prompt for every week, but feel free to create your own spreads and share them with the group. To simplify things, I use the journal prompts as inspiration for spreads and you can feel free to do the same.
Each day, we’re doing a draw for 2 solid weeks. It can be one card or as many as you’d like. Please do the journal prompt for your weekly journal entry, but the Tarot spread prompt is optional and just a guide for those who need it. Take a look at your fellow members’ posts to comment and for inspiration.
Please feel free to use your own spreads and inspiration for your daily draws. For the weeks I create an actual spread, you can break down each question for your daily draws – but this is just a suggestion. Share your spreads, thoughts, ideas, etc. in the group.
You only need to do one weekly journal entry, but feel free to journal as much as you would like.
Journal Prompt: What are some ways to break through resistance you may be experiencing in your life and spiritual practice?
Hello! The above bolded question is our fifth weekly journal and Tarot spread prompt.

For me, I may take a Tarot spread I’ve created and break it down into one card draws for this week. Or, I may use the full spread for one day and the daily draws for the rest of the week. Please feel free to use your own spreads and inspiration for your daily draws or spreads. Share your spreads, thoughts, ideas, etc. in the group.
You only need to do one weekly journal entry, but feel free to journal as much as you would like. I plan to do at least a paragraph following a daily card draw.
