True crime readings can be rewarding work and help families get the word about their missing or deceased loved one. There are instances when they provide insights in whereabouts or what happened, while other times offering peace to friends and loved ones. As such, channelers, diviners, mediums, psychics, and readers walk a fine line with being of service and exploitation.
It can be easy to slip off that line, but ethical readers know to always stay grounded and knowing their “why” in doing these types of readings. Is the “why” to bring awareness or enlighten or to gain likes and views? How much is too much to reveal about what happened to a deceased person? What if a missing person took their own life? We have to aim to use discernment on what and how much to share to the viewing audience about a case.
One thing I did not discuss in this video is there have been a couple of instances when a person who may be in “the know” or involved in a death or disappearance makes their way to my channel to watch the reading and even leave a comment. My intuition just knows. I have to be mindful of my safety, too.
Then there is the energetic heavy lifting of doing true crime readings. I have to be mindful of how delicate I say certain things about what I am seeing in the cards because loved ones are watching. Lastly, many people have their own opinions and email me or leave a comment under the video.
All of this is having to be managed when I consider taking on a case to do a reading and this is why I do not always accept or do high profile cases. I also do like helping families with limited resources with my readings.
That’s where I’m at with true crime and missing persons’ readings – checking in to see how I FEEL about still doing them and why I started in the first place.
No matter what you do you do in this life – check in and see where you’re at with it. Does it still align with your values? Is it time for a shift? Or, are things just right?
I am still in the contemplation and meditation phase of seeing how I feel about continuing doing true crime readings. I may only do them when I am fully called to a particular case, which may not always be a frequent thing on the channel. Or, I may take a break, or decide on a longer hiatus. I am not going to rush my decision, but instead, feel my way through to see if doing these types of readings still resonates with me.

Brian Thompson, a United Healthcare CEO lost his life on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in Midtown Manhattan in the early hours, ahead of attending an Investor’s meeting. More clues are coming out about who did this, but this reading will explore the “why” in what happened to Brian.

This is a crime that has puzzled and confounded us for 28 years. When most people were sleeping soundly in Boulder, CO, on Christmas night in 1996, there was a nightmare unfolding in the Ramsey home. JonBenet Ramsey, age 6, was reported missing on 12/25/96 and found 7 hours later in the basement of the family home. A long, detailed ransom note was left behind and there was suspicion that Patsy Ramsey wrote it with the help of her husband, John – but they vehemently denied they were responsible for it. JonBenet’s older brother, Burke, was nine years old at the time and also fell under suspicion of causing her death. In 2003, DNA trace evidence was taken from JonBenet’s clothes and it was found to belong to an unknown male. Each family member’s DNA was excluded from the sample.
There have been questions on how Boulder Police handled and investigated this case. The District Attorney fully exonerated the parents after this DNA revelation, but some still feel this is not enough to let the family members off the hook. This was a wealthy family and JonBenet was a pageant beauty, following in the footsteps of her mother, Patsy. Patsy died in 2006 after a cancer battle and John is still advocating for his daughter to receive justice. A Netflix documentary has dropped today, November 25th and I have yet to watch it. If you have watched it, let us know if any of the cards that come up in this reading touches on what came up. I know of this case, but not the nuanced details or theories – which is good for this reading. Maura disappeared on the evening of February 9, 2004, after a car crash on Route 112, near Woodsville, New Hampshire, which is a village in the town of Haverhill. She was a nursing student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst at the time of her disappearance. In November 2003, three months before her disappearance, Maura admitted to using a stolen credit card to order food from several restaurants. The criminal charge was to be dismissed after three months of good behavior. Maura experienced emotional stress four days prior to her disappearance, after speaking with her sister. Her sister had just been discharged from rehab for alcoholism and had relapsed. Two days before her disappearance, she borrowed her father’s Toyota Corolla and struck a guardrail, causing $10,000 (equivalent to $16,100 in 2023) in damage to the vehicle. No field sobriety test was taken.
On February 9th, Maura used Mapquest for driving directions to the Berkshires and Burlington, Vermont. At 1:24 PM, Maura emailed the nursing school faculty work supervisor that she would be out of town for a week due to a death in the family. There was no death, though – she made that up. She packed clothing, toiletries, textbooks, and birth control pills in her car. When her room was later searched, it was discovered she had packed up most of her belongings in boxes and the artwork removed from the walls. On top of the boxes, was a printed email to her boyfriend, indicating there may have been trouble in their relationship. Classes at the University had been canceled due to a snowstorm.
Maura drove her black 1996 Saturn sedan to the ATM and withdrew $280, and CCTV showed she was alone. At a nearby liquor store, she purchased about $40 worth of alcoholic beverages and she was alone per the security footage at the time of the purchase. No one knew exactly where she was headed on February 9th. Sometime after 7 PM, a Woodsville resident heard a loud bump and noticed Maura’s vehicle up against a snowbank. Another motorist stopped and noticed Maura was cold and shivering, but didn’t appear to be injured. By 7:46 PM, the police arrived at the scene, but Maura was not there. It was reported that at a hairpin turn, she went off the road and hit a tree.
There are theories as to what happened to Maura. I have intentionally not reviewed them, as I want to see where the cards lead me during the reading. We have a lot to dive into with this case. Let’s get started.

A few passersby mentioned seeing her and even a couple turned around to see if she needed help, but she darted into the woods. The mystery of what caused Asha to leave home and ultimately what happened to her has confounded those close to her and the investigation for a long time. However, recently there has been a big break in the case after 24 years.
Her family has always held out hope that she may still be alive, but police have recently indicated they believe Asha was murdered. DNA on some of her items has linked her to a house near where she was last seen. Two people have been identified as having a DNA link to her items and the mysterious green vehicle that was thought to have been seen on the night Asha went missing was towed away from the Dedmon residence. Two suspects have also been officially named, but DNA does not tie them…or are does it?
There are still big questions that remain and we are going to explore them during a multi-video series for Asha’s case. This is a sprawling cold case and I decided to break up the readings and create its own playlist. As updates come about, we may do future readings beyond what I embark on this week. Unsolved Mysteries Volume 5 will feature the unsolved murders of Carnell, age 40, and Katherine, age 33, who arrived at the Rocky River Reservation Park in Fairview Park, OH. Both met at a pull-off lot north of the Lorrain Road Bridge. Carnell and Katherine were shot in the head while sitting on a bench alongside the river. Katherine tried to go towards the water and was shot once, and her body fell towards the river’s edge. Carnell was shot multiple times in the head.
This attack was brazen as it took place a little after 5 PM in a place where passersby were around. The Police and FBI have been investigating, but there are no named suspects and no arrests have been made. We will do this opening Oracle reading now to get a pulse on the energies surrounding why this happened and who did this to Carnell and Katherine.
After the Unsolved Mysteries episode airs, I will then come back to the reading table for a detailed Tarot reading, asking specific questions that arise after hearing potential theories. My sincerest condolences go out to the loved ones of Carnell and Katherine and I pray for justice. Let’s get started.
