Part 5: we explore The Hanged One, Death, and Temperance cards.

Questions and Journal Prompts: 

  1. Do you know the herbs featured in the three major Arcana cards and if so, do they speak to the traditional RWS* card meaning? Why or why not? If not, how do you feel about that?
  2. If you don’t know the featured herbs in these three cards, in your personal research (hint – Google these herbs), do you find it really speaks to the card’s meaning? Why or why not?
  3. Imagery and symbols found in the cards – what pops and speaks to you? Why?
  4. What are your personal card meanings you’ve assigned to the featured cards?

I invite you to raise your discussion points or ask questions about the card meanings or working with this deck. I’ll compile a list, and record a video discussing your discussion points or questions and invite our study group community to chime in on the answers.

The above questions will be used as a basis for our future video study group sessions, but they may vary from time to time, depending on what comes up in our review of the cards.

~~This is a yang energy week, all about action, taking steps, forward momentum and moving forward. There is some resistance to change, both on the macro and micro levels of life. Do not be complacent, listen to intuition, go with the flow, and stop resisting. ~~Replenish energy, ground and go within, seeking inner wisdom of our bodies and our Higher Selves. Try meditation to stimulate the intuitive muscle and to connect with Spirit this week. ~~We are about to embark on a journey to the unknown. We are receiving news of what the next several weeks will look like for us and for some it is a welcome harbinger of change, while others may be filled with anxiety. 

Self-Care Message: Lungs – Exercise, protect and nurture the pulmonary system. Breathe – it’s gonna be alright. Getting to the bare bone structure of a situation. Release – Surrender worry and have that needed heart to heart. Clarity – We are able to see a situation in a different, sobering light.

~~There will be lots to be thankful for this week. Restoration is beginning to happen and it may not form in the way we previously have known. Be open to new possibilities. We are dealing with multiple, moving targets and uncertainty. Allow gratitude to bring us back to the present. ~~Embrace the new beginning by cutting off ties to the past. We have magical power to shift and lift up our energetic vibration. We need to be aware of the energy we are putting out into the world. ~~Self-imposed or enforced detachment will lead to nourishment of the mind, body and Soul. Our souls feel fed, despite all that’s going on around us. Physical detachment is still a very good thing for everyone, as we have seen in the readings from week to week. 

Self-Care Message: The Dragonfly – Constant change as we deal with a delicate situation. Waning Crescent – Endings and cutting ties, making way for the new beginning to form. The Soul – Learning what stirs our soul, going deep in order to emanate radiance.
