Part 9: introducing the minors.

The upcoming videos will feature an introduction to the minors, then videos discussing each suit: air, fire, water, and earth.

Once the minors have been featured on the channel, we will then move our Tarot Study sessions to the Abundant Life Tarot Group on Facebook. There will be lives, discussion thread posts, spread show and tells, and sharing of content on how we’re incorporating the Herbcrafter’s Tarot into our reading practice.

The Herbcrafter’s Tarot Study Group Part 6 || On YouTube

Part 6: we explore the Devil, Tower, and Star cards.

Questions and Journal Prompts:

  1. Do you know the herbs featured in the three major Arcana cards and if so, do they speak to the traditional RWS* card meaning? Why or why not? If not, how do you feel about that?
  2. If you don’t know the featured herbs in these three cards, in your personal research (hint – Google these herbs), do you find it really speaks to the card’s meaning? Why or why not?
  3. Imagery and symbols found in the cards – what pops and speaks to you? Why?
  4. What are your personal card meanings you’ve assigned to the featured cards?

I invite you to raise your discussion points or ask questions about the card meanings or working with this deck. I’ll compile a list, and record a video discussing your discussion points or questions and invite our study group community to chime in on the answers.

The above questions will be used as a basis for our future video study group sessions, but they may vary from time to time, depending on what comes up in our review of the cards.

*RWS stands for Rider/Waite/Smith.

Introducing The Herbcrafter’s Tarot Study Group || ALT Premium

The Herbcrafter’s Tarot is a gem of a deck, with rich meanings interwoven in the choices of herbs, the messages in the guidebook, and in the gorgeous art of the cards.

I am a novice when it comes to herbs and I hoped this deck would help me become more acquainted with the medicinal plants. But, I’ll be honest – I have not used this deck much.

It sits on my shelf, waiting for me to be called to use it. The truth is, I’m a little intimidated when it comes to the Herbcrafter’s Tarot and I know a deep dive into the card’s meanings is just what’s needed to deepen my connection with this deck.

I have begun recording videos going over each of the Major Arcana. So far, I have been able to fit about three majors in thirty minute videos. I will post these videos along with prompts to get our creative juices flowing. Answer the prompts in your journals, here on the post, or my favorite – in the private Abundant Life Tarot Facebook group. Bonus points on posting spreads using this deck or discussions about recent readings or one card draws that were experienced recently.

I will likely break up the minors in videos going over each of the suits.

Study Group Questions:

Do you own the Herbcrafter’s Tarot? If so, what is your level of working with it? Are you using this deck much? And if so, what draws you to this deck? If you haven’t been drawn to this deck, what has been keeping you from picking it up? Do you enjoy reading with it? Why or why not?

What’s your level of experience with herbs – which cards really resonate with you and why?

For those who do not own The Herbcrafter’s Tarot, why haven’t you made the purchase yet? What draws you to this deck? What turns you off?

Thanks so much for watching!
