My Client Passed Away… Tips on Grief, Processing Loss, and Honoring a Dear Soul

The unfathomable happened. Yet, my logical mind knows death is a part of life. The older we get, the more encounters with death we experience. But, it hits differently with clients. Clients who have shared so many intricate parts of their lives and even their darkest secrets with me, their confidante.

My client unexpectedly died two weeks ago and I am still in disbelief. I am navigating the grieving process for someone who I had a professional, but close relationship with over time. I am also noticing an aversion to the platform where I met this client. I suppose this will abate with time.

Are you someone who is particularly drawn to color? There’s a reason for that – you are probably someone who is also gifted at interpreting card meanings through the use of interpreting color associations. Colors can evoke emotions and often serve as reminders of life’s themes we’ve come to know.

This is a quick video on color psychology and common associations. Use this as a guide to help you in interpreting card meanings with the aid of color associations. I also offer a demonstration of how I use color in interpreting the cards’ meanings in a love reading.

What’s Coming Up at Poised to Leap | COMPASSIONATE DETACHMENT

Have you heard of the term “compassionate detachment?” In these current times, we find ourselves, the mounting need to compassionately detach from emotionally charged or even energy-sucking situations is at an all-time high. If you are an empath or professional healer/reader, the need to compassionately detach is exponential and necessary to your overall well-being.

Poised to Leap members will be meeting up this Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 1:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, via Zoom to discuss what is Compassionate Detachment, why it is important in the spiritual work we do, and we will do a Tarot spread together to demonstrate what we need to compassionately detach from in our lives AND how to effectively do it. I created a spread that I feel will help us get clear about what is mine to do and what is theirs to do. Call back in your energy, so that you can show up in a more empowered and grounded way!

Hello! In 2019, I created a spread called the Spiritual Activism Spread and I thought we could do it together in 2024.

Feel free to use an Oracle or Tarot deck for this spread. You may also feel called to periodically come back to this spread, as over time, our calls to action evolve just like we do!

Here are the prompts:

Question 1: What is my soul called to advocate for and why?

Question 2: What gifts can I offer?

Question 3: What challenges or pitfalls to be on the lookout for?

Question 4: My preferred method of protest or activism?

Question 5: How will I show up in this situation?

Question 6: Outcome? Card 1 – What will happen if I don’t do anything? Card 2 – What will happen if I take some sort of action now?

Here is the replay of a little chat and cards catch-up! I flipped through a new deck to my collection, the Prism Oracle.

I did a collective energetic Tarot and Oracle Reading for us as we head into the weekend. I enjoy doing weekly Weekend Wakeup Call Readings for my Poised to Leap members, on rare occasions TikTok, and thought it would be a lot of fun to do it on YouTube during a live stream. I also did individual readings for my subscribers, too!

I will be next week to share about my August monthly favorites and discuss the latest with my depth year.

I am kicking around the idea of having a little night-time virtual get together where we go into the deepest corners of our closets and shelves to pull out decks that we haven’t touched in a long time. It will be a Deck Appreciation Get-Together! People can join and do a show and tell of their decks over drinks and snacks. It will decide if it is better to do this via a YouTube live stream or in a more intimate setting in our private Facebook group or on Zoom. More to come!
