Detox and Spiritual Hygiene Check-in Tarot Spread | A Demonstration

I created a Spiritual Hygiene Check-in spread to use with Tarot and Oracle decks. In this video, I demonstrate how I use this spread and invite you to give it a try. You can also use the questions as journal prompts.

DETOX CHECK-IN QUICK SPREAD
Shuffle for one minor card and one major.
The minor arcana card speaks to what area you need a detox.
The major arcana card speaks to how to go about detoxing this area.

SPIRITUAL HYGIENE CHECK-IN TAROT SPREAD
1. What is the overall condition of my spiritual hygiene?
2. What does a solid spiritual hygiene routine feel and look like for me and those around me?
3. What is most affected when my hygiene is out of whack: emotional, mental, physical, or spiritual?
4. What am I currently doing or not doing that is working for me?
5. What am I currently doing or not doing that is NOT working for me?
6. What do I need right now? Use a self-care, crystal, food, or herbal Oracle deck.

Who is your biggest advocate in the whole wide world? YOU are your biggest advocate and caregiver. If you’re a reader, do periodic check-ins with yourself to see what you need in order to get or remain in harmony. If you need a reading, reach out to me – I am here to help you.

I am so grateful to Havana of Sparkle Divine Tarot and Panda Bennett for sharing their wisdom with me and the collective. It was a wonderful way to spend Sunday afternoon. We, as a community, can begin to heal the wounds caused by racism, and it starts by having conversation. We did a little shadow work today, too! Phenomenal time with phenomenal ladies.

As Juneteeth comes to a close, I am left with some thoughts on our history and the importance of standing up for what is right, in spite of being the lone voice in the crowd. It is about being uncomfortable, when you could have easily sat on the sidelines, as others are hurting and suffering.

Hello Beautiful Peoples!

This video may ruffle some feathers, as I recorded fresh after I experienced anger and sadness. For that reason, I was not comfortable publishing it on YouTube.

I will be utilizing my website, Vimeo, and my alternative YouTube channel Truth2power for videos that delves into the Black life experience and the effects of systemic racism. Truth2power is my husband’s channel, but he’s agreed to co-host some videos with me and I’ll be involved in his videos in some capacity or another. I have my business, after all to tend to, but this movement matters so much to me and I need to keep sharing with those willing to listen.

I will still talk about political issues and spiritual warfare on Abundant Life Tarot, as it relates to the Cartomancy and spiritual world. I just need to be able to get my voice out, without the “what about me’s?” or the “reverse racism” crowd. I just need to be able to share without having to once again, justify why we are so hurt, tired, and scared.

ALT Premium is a free membership for my website and members receive exclusive content that is often not up on YouTube. I plan to make Vimeo only and YouTube only available content. George Floyd is heavy on my heart and Spirit tonight. I don’t know how to process all of these emotions I’m feeling right now. I am so sorry that we’re here, once again, facing the horror of white supremacy and over policing. I am so sorry this man lost his life in such a horrific way. I am sorry for my ancestors who were dragged, beaten, enslaved for hundreds of years. I am so sorry for my people who are dealing with carrying the weight of the legacy of slavery and racism on their already weakened shoulders.

8 minutes and 46 seconds was enough time to capture a murder on video for the world to see. Now, let’s see what happens in the coming days, weeks, months and years. Will we ever see justice?
