How are you doing?We still have a long ways to go to achieving true equality, but I am hopeful we are at least orienting ourselves and preparing for this new leg of the journey. We are starting to see some real changes in the minds and hearts of many people, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

George Floyd is heavy on my heart and Spirit tonight. I don’t know how to process all of these emotions I’m feeling right now. I am so sorry that we’re here, once again, facing the horror of white supremacy and over policing. I am so sorry this man lost his life in such a horrific way. I am sorry for my ancestors who were dragged, beaten, enslaved for hundreds of years. I am so sorry for my people who are dealing with carrying the weight of the legacy of slavery and racism on their already weakened shoulders.

8 minutes and 46 seconds was enough time to capture a murder on video for the world to see. Now, let’s see what happens in the coming days, weeks, months and years. Will we ever see justice?
