George Floyd is heavy on my heart and Spirit tonight. I don’t know how to process all of these emotions I’m feeling right now. I am so sorry that we’re here, once again, facing the horror of white supremacy and over policing. I am so sorry this man lost his life in such a horrific way. I am sorry for my ancestors who were dragged, beaten, enslaved for hundreds of years. I am so sorry for my people who are dealing with carrying the weight of the legacy of slavery and racism on their already weakened shoulders.

8 minutes and 46 seconds was enough time to capture a murder on video for the world to see. Now, let’s see what happens in the coming days, weeks, months and years. Will we ever see justice?
