We definitely go deep and a little risque, as adult themes of love are discussed in the videos, so please no viewers under 18.
Here’s February’s love tarot forecast for the couples, for all twelve astrological signs.
*Please note that after this month, I will be moving to a different way of delivering the monthly love readings. Starting in March, the 12 astrological signs will be in 1 to 2 videos for our love readings. In addition to monthly love tarot readings, I will also be doing monthly life and abundance readings, in the same new format. This new format will be a nice change, as all the readings will be contained to 1 or 2 videos, running about 10 minutes per astrological sign, for both the love and abundance readings. I think this will be an easier format for me to edit and deliver these videos to my viewers. Plus, I wanted to add abundance tarot/oracle readings, but not spend a great deal more time creating them. I am very much in the trial and error phase of presenting video readings to my viewers, so we will see if this format works for everyone, but if it doesn’t, please feel free to offer some feedback on other ways I can deliver these readings.

The New Orleans (NOLA) Pocket Tarot is a must-have for the Tarot novice, as it is tiny and lists the tarot card’s meanings in both the upright and the reversed position. Some would say the lack of artwork is a hindrance to learning the craft, but I would counter that with sometimes people only need a few keywords to spark their intuition. So, for those who learn best by reading meanings on cards, this deck is for you. For those who are mostly visual, this deck may not work for you.
I am no longer a beginner in tarot, but I still find the NOLA deck very helpful when I am feeling lazy and do not feel up to interpreting photos or overthinking the card meanings. I do not use these for readings for clients, but primarily for clarifying things in my personal world. I wish I had this deck when I was first starting out, because it would have made my tarot learning experience easier.
The NOLA tarot can be purchased on Etsy for a very low price. In addition to the low price offered on Etsy, the deck creator Anne Richardson offers an even lower priced way to obtain the deck, directly from the printer of the NOLA deck. Also included with the deck is access to print spreads specifically created for this deck by Anne that can be downloaded.
The card stock is amazing for such an inexpensive and small deck. The size of the deck is comparable to the tiny size of the Mildred Payne’s Secret Pocket Oracle deck. The design on the back is pretty, while the side with the messages appear to be on parchment type paper.
Some of the reviewers of this deck on Etsy indicated they read for others with it, but some professional tarot readers may take pause, because the keywords will box you into the meanings. However, I will say that the readings are accurate based on the questions I have asked, and although I would not use this deck for paying clients, I would consider using it for friends and relatives – again, when I am not feeling like doing a full on tarot reading.
Gift this deck to a friend who is a new student to Tarot, or to yourself for practice drills and personal readings, as it will not disappoint.
Many blessings,
Kim Abundant Life Tarot

There’s something deep and carnal about the Delta Enduring Tarot deck. It haunts, it beckons you to shuffle it over and over (more on that later), and it is utterly beautiful. I jumped in late on purchasing this deck, as it wasn’t even on my radar until after it was released in December 2017. There was a Kickstarter for this deck that I somehow did not know about – which is a good thing because I would have literally died from anticipation waiting for this gem to be released.
The deck creator Egan wrote a beautifully written guidebook. The book is in English and 153 pages long. There’s one spread and all the meanings include reversals. The book is a separate purchase, but I believe is a worthwhile expense to go with this unique deck. The meanings are deep and offers a new spin on the old, standard meanings, which I really appreciate.
The deck is standard tarot sized and tends to follow the Rider Waite Smith system, albeit there are some additional cards to the deck mix, such as The Termite Swarm, Mardi Gras, The Hurricane, and the Heat. There are also some changes to the major arcana names, such as Harm Reduction for Temperance and the Levee for the Tower.
The shuffibility of this deck is amazing. In my video review, I was hesitant to riffle shuffle my new Delta Enduring Tarot because I was concerned I would harm the backs of the cards. I have to be more gentle on my independent decks because a) the creators may only do one print run and I will not be able to get a replacement; b) the card backs are gentle and can be easily damaged; and c) independent decks are expensive. After the initial few over hand shuffles featured on my unboxing video, I dived into riffle shuffling and this bitch just sings! The cards easily shuffle and from what I can tell, without damaging the gorgeous card backs. Have you ever shuffled a deck and it felt like it was buttery flapjacks easily falling on top of one another – this is this deck! It shuffles like a dream.
The card stock is above average, in terms of ease of shuffling. It appears to have a smooth finish, and slightly more on the glossy side. There are borders, but I do not mind them, as they frame the images nicely. Some might take issue with the borders, but to each his own. The deck is also average tarot size, which is helpful in shuffling the cards.
The deck has a good mix of animals, humans and objects as the subject matter in the tarot cards.
This deck is a modern narrative of the Delta experience. It is hot, spicy, painful, joyful, and really does cover the gamut of the tarot experience. Having spent many summers near the Delta, I can personally say this deck has successfully captured the essence of the spirit of this region. The mysticism, the good food, the fearful moments juxtaposed against the joyful times, all are encapsulated in this deck. It is exactly what I hoped for in a modern day, melanated deck. I can tell Egan put their heart and soul into this deck, bringing the Delta experience to all of us who know it and those of us who do not know the magic and the pain of this region of America.
The deck can be viewed and purchased on the Egan’s website at deltaenduring.com.

One of the ways I deepened my understanding of reading tarot intuitively was by practicing with oracle decks without guidebooks. By not relying on a guidebook for meaning, but instead looking at the pictures and going with my gut, I was able to experience how it is to read oracle cards intuitively.
Most of my independent oracle decks do not come with guidebooks, so it was easy to not rely on book meanings in that instance. Where the growth really occurred for me was when I set the guidebooks aside that did accompany my oracle decks and followed my intuition on what Spirit was trying to say.
When looking at oracle card images and keywords, a reader can glean a lot more information when they allow the space in their heart to let intuition guide them on the answers. Guidebooks can only go so far in answering a question, but the reader can go deep and pull the most appropriate, resonate answers from within. This is why experienced readers suggest to follow your intuition FIRST, then if you must, look to the guidebook SECOND for the meanings.
I also suggest that when doing readings with guidebooks, be sure to let your intuition guide you first, and then go to the book for clarification (if you must). An even better solution for when you are stumped by a card is instead of consulting the guidebook, to pull another card from the oracle or tarot deck, as this will further your intuitive growth.
I now seek out oracle decks without guidebooks, but I still use the ones that do have them, only intuitively.
How do you deepen your intuition with card reading? Do you seek out oracle decks with or without guidebooks? What advice do you have for other readers on how to access their intuition without guidebooks?

Every now and then a deck comes along and haunts you, taunting you to buy it. That was this deck for me. I watched many videos, had many Amazon ads entice me, until several months later I finally broke down for a Black Friday sale and purchased it. I am drawn to its Tim Burton art style, the unique take on the RWS system’s meanings, and it has a decidedly cool factor going on.
Created by Cristina Benintende, this 78 deck It is standard Lo Scarabeo card stock and It has a little, multi-lingual white book. I’ll admit, I have not worked much with this deck, as the purpose of me getting it was for the heartbroken and grief stricken seekers/readings. I may do another follow up review of this deck in the future to share how we’ve been getting along.
Do you have this deck? What are your thoughts and what types of readings do you do with it?

Some of my greatest teachers are my tarot guidebooks. I consult my guidebooks from time to time, when I have a little downtime. I am now at a stage in my tarot journey where I do not consult the guidebook during readings, unless I am specifically called to do so. But, it is still important to have guidebooks and study what works for you and your home in terms of storage.
Here’s my collection of tarot guidebooks. Soon to come is another video on my favorite tarot and oracle deck guidebooks video. This book collection review was filmed on November 12, 2017, and since then, Tarot on Earth by Tom Benjamin is now on my book’s must have wishlist.

It’s official – I am in love with the Mildred Payne’s Secret Pocket Oracle and receive some of the deepest, profound answers I’ve encountered from a deck. I want to share these powerful readings with you.
The messages and guidance run deep for the Mildred Payne’s Secret Pocket Oracle, so be prepared for your answers to be given in clear, uninhibited messages. A Secret Pocket Oracle reading can answers all sorts of questions. This oracle’s reading offers just as deep of readings as the Tarot.
There is no time limit for these readings. I also may consult other decks for further insight into your situation.
